Our Dams

Kiwi is a once-in-a-lifetime dog. She is a petite girl with the most stable temperament, and is truly a dog I can take anywhere. She embodies the ideal temperament of a Phu Quoc Ridgeback and is an exemplary model of her breed. She was bred in the US from imported parents, a mixture of unique older bloodlines from both Red River Kennel and Hung Quan Kennel, including well-known Vietnamese GCH Ti Do. She is a great representative of the Hung Quan old showline dogs. ​

 

Kiwi is extremely social and loves to greet people, but her favorites are always children and babies. She can be easily handled by anyone and is a favorite among her groomers, vet techs, and vets. She is extremely adaptable to any environment or situation she’s put in. Kiwi gets along well with other dogs and loves to be chased. She is independent yet loving, and likes to be around you but not on you. Her favorite activity is running at top speed; she is an incredibly fast dog that few have been able to outrun. She is a diva who loves the spotlight and always draws attention with her sassy charm and relaxed demeanor. Her confidence and manners has earned many, many praises in public. ​

 

She is the best pet and companion. At home, she helps me fetch her human “brother,” and has even taught herself to open door handles by watching us. She is generally quite lazy around the house and can be trusted to be out and about all day without damaging anything; she is very well behaved in the home. Whatever the day holds, her energy always matches mine. I often use her to teach our foster dogs home manners. Kiwi will even correct dogs when they’re being too rambunctious in the house.

 

She is a fast learner, and thoroughly titled to prove it. Working with her takes little effort. She picks up concepts quickly, and it often seems as if she understands what I ask of her, without command. She has an Expert trick title, holds additional titles in stunt dog, canine conditioning, and cooperative care, and has earned a CGC title. She is a Virtual Intercontinental Champion and major pointed in ICKC. Showing is her favorite sport second only to lure coursing. Kiwi is my heart dog through and through. She is my best girl and handles anything with beauty and grace.
